The Wasp

The project began with the skecthing of a little concept in Photoshop, which I didn't include because I didn't really finish it, but was used a starting point instead.

Then I jumped into Maya and blocked out the basic shapes of it.

From there, I went to Zbrush to give it some details and to refine it overall.

Back to Maya to do the retopology and to add all the support edges needed to get the hard surface look. At this point I also made the UV Unwrap and laid the UVs in different UDIMs.

Back to Zbrush to add the small details and to give it some imperfections and polish.

From there I was left with a high poly sculpt which I baked into the low poly mesh using Substance Painter. I used it also to create all the textures.

Back to Maya, posing, adding cameras and rendering using VRay.
